Classes

Barre

Barre is a 60 minute high energy class that combines mat Pilates, yoga, and ballet. You will use a mixture of weights, body weight and full range of movements that will strengthen and sculpt your entire body. Exercises will take place at the barre or the mat. Be swimsuit ready any time of the year by joining in on the Barre fun!

Barre Intensity

This popular combines attributes of Pilates, dance and functional fitness training. Class incorporates small isolated movements to fatigue the muscles/ large range of motion to elevate the heart rate, and sequencing that incorporates upper and lower body.

Active Older Adults

Low-impact fitness, with strategic chair exercises. Class emphasis focuses on cardio and strength for overall functionality. Great beginner class for those just starting out, recovering from surgery, or golden agers.

Body Sculpt

Class base is all a toning focus aimed at sculpting all of those key areas of our body from arms to legs and everything in between. We place focus on good posture to strengthen our core, along with many floor exercises to tone up our mid-sections along the way. Class consists of moderate weight training, but body modifications are offered.

Bootcamp

High-impact cardio. Class focuses on elevating heart rate while mixing in fundamental body training exercises. Moderate weight training is also incorporated to maximize muscle use. This class offers lots of variations and is welcome to all fitness levels.

Burn & Build

The name says it all! Burn fat, while building muscle. This high-impact class begins with a dynamic stretching warmup leading into a cardio crushing session focusing on not only elevating the heart rate but engaging all of our primary muscle groups. Class transitions into a moderate lifting portion as they begin to bring the heart rate down and build the muscle up. Class typically ends with a 5-10 minute core session.

Core De Force - Kickboxing

For anyone wanting a challenge, this is the class for you. BeachBody Core de Force tones and strengthens while giving you a cardio crushing workout with rapid fire MMA moves. It is designed to effectively improve timing, precision, and focus as an athlete through traditional kickbox/fight-style movements.

Downward Rebel Dance

Cardio-focused, hip hop/pop radio dance class. Routines are coordinated in a HIIT (high intensity interval training) style format. This class is guaranteed to get your heart pumping and legs moving. A great workout for all fitness levels.

Nia Dance

Combination of dance, martial arts, and healing arts. Nia Dance is a holistic fitness practice that targets body, mind, and spirit. Get in touch with your inner strength as you dance it out in a fun, mindful class.

P90X LIVE!

Designed by the talented team at BeachBody, this LIVE class is designed for optimal success. A 30-minute power class that will target arms and legs having you walk out of the YMCA feeling ready to start your day. Each class is geared with a warm-up, focus section targeting arms/legs, and a cooldown to give you a full workout in a short amount of time.

Power Hour

The name is just that: One hour of power strength moves to condition, tone, and strengthen your body. You will never want to miss a class, as routines will vary making every class a new, exciting challenge. Cardio interval training with rapid fire combination moves provide optimal performance needed for any fitness routine.

Senior Cardio Fit

Great beginner cardio fitness. Although geared towards our active older adults population, this class can be great for those wanting to get their heart and lungs pumping without the high-impact movements of some of our higher intensity classes. Classes are geared towards basic cardio fundamental exercises with body conscious movements.

Spinning

Class is held on stationary indoor bikes for low-impact, high aerobic workout. Routines vary your intensity between bouts of high cardio sprints and muscle burning hill climbs. It is also a good way to condition for avid cyclists.

Total Condition/Step

Focus on building strength in stamina, starting out your mornings right. Wake up bright and early to join a class that offers variety for all fitness levels. Classes maintain a balanced focus between the importance of cardio and strengthening with overall body conditioning. Fridays - Total Condition class walks outside.

Yoga

Non-impact class that focuses on mind and body. A traditional mindful yoga class that emphasizes flexibility, concentration, breathing and overall body control. Yoga is a great addition to any fitness routine.

Zumba

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music/dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, and based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO." The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Zumba Basics

If you have ever felt too intimidated to try Zumba, this is your chance. This class has all of the fun of Zumba but steps it back to all of the basics. Class is slowed down to truly help grasp all of the fun and exciting moves Zumba has to offer. A great entry level to the World of “ZUMBA!”
