Are you ready for a reset?

Let’s start 2021 STRONG with thousands of teammates. 150 minutes of movement a week for six weeks. We’ll experiment with challenges and rhythms designed to open us up to a purpose-driven life as we RESET and start 2021 off STRONG.

Six weeks, 30 minutes a day, five days a week! Take the Challenge, have some fun, and discover what it means to Hit the RESET button. Join the StrongLife Community Facebook page here for additional encouragement, support, and accountability!

Having a prominent place in the home to post your goals to see every day and track your progress will be key in these first days. Having an accountability buddy (an AccountabiliBuddy) or partner in the challenge will provide the motivation you need within your existing network. Plus, for additional resources and ideas on how to RESET view YStrong.org. Join our Strong Community on Facebook and download the Strong Tracking Sheet today!

Your journey begins with something simple and light. In your first week, aim to do at least 150 minutes of exercise. This exercise doesn’t have to be anything super intense or backbreaking. Chances are, you already have the time, you just have to get creative with reaching the goal. If you are someone who likes to binge-watch streaming services now and then, try going on a walk during this time. You don’t even have to stop watching either. You can walk on the treadmill while watching a show or listen to a podcast while walking outside. Whether you want to walk or run, swim or climb, it all helps! Any activity that gets you up and moving benefits your health.

The next challenge after getting the fitness journey started is to tackle a weekend of clean eating. While this tends to be difficult for most people regardless of where they are at with their fitness journeys, it can be simpler if the right approach is adopted. Instead of focusing on the things you shouldn’t eat, try focusing on the things that provide the maximum nutrition and benefits to your body.

As we approach the third week, we are going to try and focus on developing the connections we already have. Further developing these connections allows us to have greater bonds with our loved ones and see how they have been doing during unprecedented times. This reconnect can happen through a visit, zoom call, or regular phone call.

As adults, many people put aside their personal interests or hobbies. We are here to say that it doesn’t have to be this way! Going into the fourth week, find times during the week to set aside so you can do something you love. This can include video games, reading a book, spending family time together, whatever you think is fun!

Week five of the reset challenge will focus on giving back to the community. Everyone has a talent or time that they can use to give back to the community. Giving back is a very important part of the six-week reset challenge, as we believe that a community that serves each other is a community united.

This is the last week of the 2021 Reset Challenge! To begin with, we’d like to congratulate you for making it this far and sticking to the commitment. We also suggest you congratulate yourself, as it is no easy feat. Take this week to restore and reflect on the past 5 weeks. Also, use this week to plan on how you can incorporate your new habits and goals permanently from now on so you can continue to lead a refreshed and restored life.
