School Age Childcare

Your child has packed their school supplies and has their outfit picked out for the first day of school. Just one more thing before you’re ready for the returning school year: your child needs a safe, enriching place to go once the school day ends. Excel After the Bell continues to be a familiar place where children can be safe, active, learning and engaged during their time out of school. Through a balanced approach to youth development, the Y’s afterschool program offers activities, mentorship and academic support, helping kids to thrive throughout the school year. 

As an organization dedicated to youth development, we know how important it is for a child to have an enriching place for learning and growth, both in and out of school. And we’re happy to be able to provide that place, allowing your child’s social, emotional, physical and academic journey to continue long after the school day ends. 

• Rates: $200/month for Y Members or $260/month for nonmembers
• Hours of Operation: After School 3:30-6pm and No School Days 7:30am-6pm
• No School Day Rates: $20/day for Y Members or $30/day for nonmembers

DFS Assistance is accepted.

Financial assistance is available. A denial letter from DFS must be provided to be considered for financial assistance.

We offer Excel After the Bell at two locations: Crest Hill Elementary School and Bar Nunn Elementary School. 

The YMCA can transport a limited number of participants to our Crest Hill program site. Transportation routes are as follows:
East Route: Manor Heights, Sagewood, Summit, Pineview and Park
West Route: Southridge, Cottonwood, Excel Academy, Journey and Fort Caspar
If your student attends a school other than these listed they can attend either site using NCSD#1 transportation.
