Group Fitness Information

Active and Ageless

Classes offer a variety and balanced focus between the importance of cardio and strengthening with overall body conditioning for all fitness levels. Fridays: Outdoor walking group; dress for weather conditions.  Class will cover approximately 2 miles.

Line Dance

Enjoy fun, low-impact cardio while learning easy to do line dance routines!

Active Older Adults Line Dance

Line dance is great for beginner cardio fitness. Although geared towards our active older adults population, this class can be great for those wanting to get their heart and lungs pumping without the high-impact movements of some of our higher intensity classes. 

Cycle and Strength

Combine cardio and strength training into one 60-minute class with Cycle & Strength. Intense cardiovascular training is performed on a stationary bike, with bouts of sprints and hill climbs to challenge you. Strength training is performed off of the bike incorporating, elements of resistance and body weight exercises to create a stronger, more balanced body.

Group Cycling

All fitness levels are welcome to cycle on a stationary, indoor bike for a low-impact, high aerobic workout. The intensity varies between bouts of high cardio sprints, muscle building hill climbs and short bursts of active recovery. Class may include a small segment of strength and conditioning.

HIIT Strength

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is an exercise method that incorporates alternating work and rest periods. This cardio based class will push you to new training heights in a safe, challenging and results-driven experience.

POUND®

Become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with Yoga and Pilates inspired movements. Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. It is a class that EVERYONE is sure to love!

 

Fuel Dance

The perfect combination of invigorating dance and traditional strength training (squats, lunges, etc.) all in one energizing session. You’ll get cardio blasting, strength-building, lean muscle generating exercise that is so much fun you’ll forget you are working out. Every class will leave you wanting more! An excellent workout for all fitness levels.

Zumba®

Zumba® is a fusion of latin and international music/dance themes that create a dynamic and exciting cardio class based on the principle that a workout should be “FUN AND EASY TO DO.” The routines feature aerobic style interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body

Power Yoga

Challenge yourself in this advanced yoga class. Explore the postures and principles of Vinyasa yoga in an invigorating full-body flow. This fast-paced yoga practice is designed to work every muscle while focusing on the classic breathwork of traditional yoga, ultimately providing an all-encompassing workout.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga is a popular style of yoga that consists of smooth transitions from one posture to another. In this class, you will focus on alignment, breathing and establishing your own mind-body connection. Explore a variety of postures in a yoga class perfect for all levels.

SilverSneakers® Classsic

Low-impact class with emphasis on cardio and strength for overall functionality utilizing strategic chair exercises. Great class for those just starting a fitness routine, recovering from surgery and golden agers.

SilverSneakers® Splash

Deep water exercises that focus on improving strength, balance and flexibility with low impact on joints.

Barre

This popular exercise combines attributes of Pilates, yoga, cardio/dance and functional fitness training. Class incorporates small isolated movements to fatigue the muscles, large range of motion movements to elevate the heart rate, and sequencing that incorporates upper and lower body.

Lift RX

This class is designed for optimal success. This power class will have you walking out of the YMCA feeling ready to start your day. Each class is geared with a warm-up, focus section targeting arms/legs, and a cooldown to give you a full workout in a short amount of time.

RIP RX

RIP is a 60-minute barbell program for able-bodied men and women of all ages and all fitness levels. Matching movement to music and using traditional strength training allows participants to work at their own level.

Strength & Conditioning

HIIT circuit class focusing on strength and conditioning using classic, progressive overload and time under tension training.

Friday’s strength training will focus on form, technique and nutrition.

STRONG Nation®

This dynamic class combines bodyweight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music.  Every squat, lunge & burpee is driven by the music helping you make it to the last rep…or even one more!

Tabata Strength

Improve strength, balance and endurance in this HIIT style class that uses short, intense exercise bursts of weight training and cardio followed by short period of rest.

Aqua Fit

This aqua class is sure to get your heart pumping and muscles working! Class will consist of mixed cardio and strength. Water weights and other equipment may be utilized.

SilverSneakers® Splash

Deep water exercises that focus on improving strength, balance, and flexibility with low impact on joints.

Water Up!

Power up your heart rate and day by immersing in the refreshing pool! Enjoy the low impact benefits that aquatic exercise can offer anyone at any fitness level in the deep and shallow ends! Elevate your heart rate to fun music and achieve personal goals such as: toning practically every muscle in the body, weight loss, and even relaxation! 

Generation POUND®

Intended for school aged children 6-12 years old. Generation POUND® was created not just as a workout geared towards kids, but a MOVEMENT that aims to change the concept of health and fitness for today’s youth. Get ready to make fitness about self-expression, empowerment, self-love and FUN! How? By introducing alternative ways to, MOVE, ROCK, PLAY and MAKE NOISE!
